[blparent] talking thermometers?

Our Dr. said never to emerse a child when they have a temp, it used to be
okay, then they found out that a child's heart could stop with the shock of
cool water on the body. They say, just wipe the child with a cool wet rag
or the like. Not cold, just barely cool.

I agree with Rebecca. If she feels hot to you her temp is probably around
102. The fact of the matter is she's sick, especially if she's showing
other signs of being so. In the meantime, try putting her in a cool bath to

lower the temp--unless you want the doc to see it up because she's otherwise

sick.

Through the sunny fields of yesterday
Echo voices of children now grown,
Their golden peals of laughter
Ring upon the ivied stone.

I feel you on this, ours did the same thing and it sucks. My advise is to
just take her to the doctor. If they ask for a temp just say 102 or some
such, knowing that temperature changes. I wouldn't muck around with a
neighbor or the ER, your peditritian should be able toget her in right
quick. What matters is that you know she needs to be seen, not the exact
number of body temp.

Hey Y'all,
Does anyone know of a talking thermometer sold in a normal store? walmart,
kmart, target, walgreens? Mine chose 4am to die. Savannah is burning up.
I've spent an hour trying to find the spare that obviously wasn't returned
to where it belongs. I need something today, not in 3 to 5 business days.
Thanks,
pipi
