[blparent] swing recommendation

I'm thinking of the rechargeable thing because it is looking like I'm going
to get a newborn in the next month, but I really don't like the portable
swings. They are creaky, low to the ground, and I really like the range of
motion part of the cradle swings. Since I have all kinds of babies in all
ages I tend to want something that may in some way work for every child. I'm
considering getting one that vibrates so I can leave it still but turn on
the vibration if that works for that child. I have 1 baby who only slept in
the bouncy seat, and could care less about the other, but it is so different
from kid to kid that I tend to have it all and just have out what works for
the individual child.

You could also get a more portable swing, and buy 2 sets of rechargable
batteries. This is what we did for Elise. She had a Rainforest travel swing,
and we just always had a set of batteries on the charger. The cradal swings
are great, as you have flexibility in terms of motion, but the travel swings
take up less space and are easier to move from room to room.
