[blparent] Great option for travel with kids

Hello list,

 

I have been researching different options for traveling with my son when he
grows out of his infant car seat and I'll need to lug his convertible car
seat with me onto para-transit and other places.  The Sit and Stroll is a
car seat on wheels which is an option but this costs around $250 which is
out of my budget since we already have an expensive quality Britax for our
car so I needed another cheaper option.  I thought strongly about just
toting my sons spare convertible car seat around with me in a car seat bag
which could be found at Baby's R Us for about $20 but even though the spare
car seat I plan on getting for para-transit and friend's cars will be a less
expensive lighter weight one, it still would put a toe on the back and
shoulders for any kind of distance.  Besides, the thought of maneuvering
with a big car seat on my back while pulling a stroller with my son in it
while also using my dog or a cane sounds like a true cercus act. SMILING
So, I finally found something called the Gogo Kidz Travel Mate which is
pretty much a dolly made for strapping convertible car seats to and pulling
or pushing  around with your child in it.  You can find this either on-line
or at your Baby's R Us store for the same price.  Baby's R Us is selling
theirs for $79 and I plan on using one of their 20% off coupons when I
purchase this which will make it cheaper than getting it anywhere on-line.
