[blparent] Formula, was New Here With Questions

No it is fine. Some doctors have parents use more or or less depending on
the child's nutritional needs, and I can't tell you how many sighted people
do a heaping scoop and not a level one, and how many times I've had to
stretch formula when not left too much. Because of how little you will be
off it won't bother the kid. The other thing I sometimes do is make up about
12-16 ounces and poor it in the bottle and heat it. This way it is more
accurate, but I've only done this for one kid so far as the others haven't
been bothered. The one wasn't bothered health wise, but if it wasn't perfect
the turkey wouldn't drink it.

Bran,
You answered my question, I didn't see this message before. Do you think it
makes any difference if you are slightly off with the measurement of formula
and water? I mean, could it cause any problems for baby's digestion if
maybe you go a little over on the amount of formula?
I'm starting a new day care job this summer, and don't know yet if baby will
be breastfed, as she isn't born yet. So I want to be prepared if I have to
measure out formula for her.
Thanks,
Leanne
