Hi Erin,

Thanks. I've gotten a taste of that feeling already. It's so amazing to know
that my son is growing inside me.

We are going to name him Jacob Matney Pettke. I considered changing the name
because Jacob is so popular. But we just love the name, and we think it
works well with my last name as his middle name.

We aren't doing a separate nursery right now. Our house has one huuuuge
bedroom upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. So Jacob will be spending the
first few months in a co-sleeper that attaches to the side of our bed. I
like the idea that he will be so close by. Having said that, a number of his
toys seem to involve a jungle theme, so I might consider that if I were
doing a full nursery right now.

Thanks for the product ideas. I'm familiar with some of those items. I
definitely want a My Breast Friend! And I need to find those waterproof
disposable pads!

We opted for a Britax Chaperone infant car seat and a Britax B-Ready
stroller. We really like the way the stroller pulls, and the car seat
impressed us; it seemed so much sturdier than some of the others we looked
at. I've seen Britax seats like the one you mentioned, and we will probably
transition him to one of those when he is older. We also found something
that we think will make travel around here a good deal easier for us. Public
transportation isn't the greatest around here, so we use a lot of cabs. We
have an Ergobaby carrier, which we plan to use whenever we can as opposed to
the stroller. But we weren't sure what we would do with his car seat in
those situations. we found a car seat travel backpack that holds the seat
with plenty of room to spare. It's designed for people who want to check the
car seat while flying, but for us, it will be a great general solution.

Again, welcome to the list.

Angie
