What about the Melissa and Doug cake set with the candles and such? It is
cute with Velcro decorations and candles and the pieces come apart. Does she
have any puppets? What about the play house from DT that comes up like a
tent with 3 different play sides one of which is a theater? There is also a
new book called mommy and me or something like that with a dress up magnetic
person in the back with a drawer of accessories for the girl? It can be
found in the holiday section on my site. Does she have out door toys like a
preschool 3 wheeled scooter, Hop along ball or tricycle? What about puzzles?
I love the Melissa and Doug wood puzzles. Lacing beads, or one of the my
first games by play school?
If she is learning her colors Candy Land may be good. Do you do playdough?
If so there is a playdough birthday set she may like. I was just telling a
friend that 3 is hard because the stuff they got at 2 is still good, and
they aren't quite ready for the preschool stuff. What about calico critters?
They are cute little animals that live in houses and have all kinds of play
sets. Or maybe the Fisher price Loving Family Doll House? It is cute and
very dramatic play appropriate for a 3 year old.

I'll keep thinking, but maybe this will help.

"When we treat children's play as seriously as it deserves, we are helping
them feel the joy that's to be found in the creative spirit. It's the things
we play with and the people who help us play that make a great difference in
our lives."

Subject: blindparenting, gift ideas for 3 year old?

  Hey y'all,
I'm attempting to finish birthday shopping for Savannah and attempting to
think about Christmas gifts as well.
Does anyone have any ideas of must haves for a 3 year old?
I've gotten her loads of new art supplies, a baking set for her kitchen, a
few books, the ab seas fishing game from dt, and honestly that is about it.
I've considered the leappad for christmas, but other than that, I'm at a
loss.
I want to get her preschool type workbooks, but was hoping to find some
with large print so that I am able to read them. I haven't been able to
locate any though.
When I ask Savannah what she wants for her birthday, she tells me she
wants a cake and nothing else. It's the same answer each time. lol
