[blparent] talking thermometers?

I recently purchased an infrared thermometer through Blind Treasures. I do
not have infants any more-they are long since grown-but the one I have
measures temperature almost instantly by just touching a part of the body.
One can also check room temperature. Other talking thermometers I've had are
very slow. In the parenting course I teach for Hadley, we suggest the rectal
temp as well, but a nurse friend said absolutely not. So in my opinion,
whatever works.
