[blparent] talking thermometers?

My pediatrician said the best place to check if your baby has a fever is on
the butt cheek.  So whenever I was in doubt, that is where I check.

I bought my talking thermometer at beyondsight.com.  It can be used either
rectally or under the armpit.  I've done it under the armpit but not the
other way because usually, to tell the truth, you'll know when the baby has
a fever eventually just by the feel of its face and body against yours. 
It's wise to have a thermometer because there are times you'll want to know
exactly what the temperature is, if the fever has lasted awhile or if it
goes really high.  Still, I think I've used my talking thermometer maybe two
or three times in four years.
