[blparent] talking thermometers?

You can use a normal talking thermometer for up the bottom. There are mixed
opinions on what is best for a infants temp. I also own a thermometer that
one holds about an inch from the child's forehead and press a button and it
takes the child's temp. It can also do surface, or room temps. I purchased
off of Amazon. It has good and bad reviews, but I think this is because you
need to hold it about an inch or 2 away from the head, and people like to
put it on the skin. However it works great.

Subject: [blparent] talking thermometers?

    Hi everyone,

I know there are talking oral/axillary thermometers, but for an infant, of
course, the most accurate method is up the bottom. Are there any talking
rectal thermometers out there, and if so, where can they be found? If not,
is it ok to use an ear thermometer, and if so, do talking ones exist, and
where can they be found?
Thanks for any help you can give. We're going to start stocking up on things
we'll need.
