[blparent] kids orange safety vest

I've looked on-line for extremely bright clothes and I had a hard time
finding anything with neon colors.  This is something that I know will keep
my son safe because it will draw the eye of drivers and bicyclists.
Additionally, it will be an easy way for my husband or anyone else I might
be with who can see to spot him easily which is wonderful to keep our son
safe from getting lost or kidnapped.  My husband is sighted and he has told
me on multiple occasions that kids wearing bright colors when running around
outside are so much easier to spot right away than kids in regular clothes.
Our little guys are hard enough to spot since they're little so anything I
can do to help keep my son safe and aid drivers and bicyclists I am all for.
I know that for myself I like to put bright colors on for the cars so our
kids shouldn't be any different.  My guide dog is black so I am also
especially careful to make him noticeable since a car could miss him
completely.  I have a similar bright orange and yellow light wait vest that
goes beautifully under the harness and I've had people tell me that it is
extremely helpful in spotting him.  It's amazing how much people who are
sighted can't see or aren't looking for.

I doubt dressing your kid in an orange hunter's vest is going to keep him
any safer than any other kid. Unless your out hunting. If it is so you can
see him better and keep track of him, I would just buy bright colored
clothing, or clothing in colors you can pick out.
