[blparent] inflatable tub bumpers

I think it may depend on the individual situation. If the child has a
balance issue, then the bumpers may come in handy if he or she sways or
falls and whomps the tub with a body part. That being said, a little vinegar
in the wash should kill most, if not all, of the bacteria, mould etc that
might grow on them. And I think you can find a small hand-pump for inflating
them, and keeping them folded and in a dry spot i.e a cabinet, basket, etc,
would make them easier to manage.
If our child has balance problems, I wouldn't have a problem with getting
something for him or her as a precaution. However, as stated, these things
aren't a substitute for keeping an eye on your little one and not leaving
them alone in the tub. Either make absolutely sure you have everything on
hand, or ask your spouse to go get whatever you forgot.
Just my $0.02 worth.
