I also had trouble centering my nipples when pumping. This seems like
it should be easy, but it wasn't for me. Eventually, I developed a
technique, which is kind of hard to describe. I used that with a
hands-free pumping bra and was able to do OK. But there was definitely
a frustrating period when I wasn't getting it centered.

I agree with Erin about the breastfeeding class at the hospital. Ours
(Chuck went with me) was a very positive experience.
