[blparent] looking for very powerful vacuum any recommendations?

This is a great thread, because I am in the market for a good steam cleaner/other cleaning devices. I have a yorica vacume that does great but my town house is all tile therfore I have the same issue brandy does which is attracting dust and other junk from outside when people come in the door. I can't stand to feel this stuff on the bottom of my feet therfore I am now ready to purchase a whole army of devices in order to keep my floors clean. My couches too are a magnet for some reason for dust and other stuff because they are a swade type valvit material and it drives me nuts to feel them that way as well. so please keep on the suggestions.
