Hi All,

I wanted to chime in here regarding ignorant Social Workers. My sister just
had a kidney transplant this week and we encountered the Social Worker at
the hospital after her procedure. My sister and I are both blind. The Social
Worker started to ask me if I got around independently on my own. What a
joke! I happen to be sitting in my sisters room minding my own business
while the Social Worker was meeting with her. I indicated to her that my
sister and I are both professionals and that being blind was not of concern.
What is up with people in this profession!

I also had a negative encounter when having my first child at the hospital
with the Social Worker. She offered us WIC and other services we did not
qualify for given mine and my husband's job status. If she had done her
homework and read the file before speaking with us she would have seen our
financials. I have know use for hospital Social Workers. These individuals
need a good talking to about peoples abilities. Go bother the drug mother.
