Hello, unfortunately, it isn't unusual for family to doubt the ability of blind people to take care of there child. On the day I told my mother that I was pregnant she got quiet and wanted to know who was going to take care of it. Meaning the baby. By the end of the day I had received a call wanting to know if we were planning to have an abortion. That didn't even cross my mind. We were asked if we had considered giving our child up for adoption. I made it clear that the baby was coming and we would be raising our child Furthermore, this matter was no longer up for discussion. The choice of whether they would be involved in our child's life was up to them not me. If we had to do everything without there help we wouldn't hesetate and the conversation was fifished. Sometimes very strong stands need to be taken.
