[blparent] Kinesthetic 6-year old... AK!!!

Hey guys,



Do any of you have a kinesthetic child that drives you crazy because he/she
puts his/her hands on everything?  I have 6-year old triplets that wil be
starting first grade soon.   All three kids have different learning styles:
one is visual, one auditory, and one is kinesthetic/hands on.  The latter
is my son.  He is old enough now to stop being so impulsive, but we still
are challenged every day with him getting into things he knows he is not
supposed to, pushing buttons on off limit areas, and being too hard on
things that eventually he breaks because he is not careful.



If you are dealing with this issue at home, would you please give me some
tips of how to improve this impulsive tendency?  I hate to admit that my
life is so much calmer when my son isn’t here.  When he goes to town with
his dad or stays with his grandparents, my other two children and I get
such a break.  Is this ringing a bell with any of you?  I still cannot take
a shower when they are all awake for fear that he will get into something
or break something he shouldn’t.



I’m afraid he will not grow out of this one.  What do you do at your house?
