Congratulations, oh how I love that name Ayla!  You will do just fine, even
as a single mom.
Once you all establish a routine, it will get easier and easier.
My best advice to you is don't give up with that breast feeding.  I also had
struggles, but when all just left alone, we figured it out.  Too much advice
is not always the best way to learn how.
Blow outs, I've had my share and the first time I actually called my husband
at work, thought it wa silly afterwards but we did manage to get through it
and you are right, gross but its not so bad when its your own.  Wait tillshe
throws up on you.  I thought I would loose it, but amazingly enough I did
not.

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker here for quite awhile. I finally join you on the other
side of the baby bridge. My daughter Ayla arrived Thursday morning. She
weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces, 20 inches long. She's a little miracle for
me.

As a blind parent, I'm finding the transition surprisingly easy. We're
struggling with breastfeeding a bit and I'm more exhausted than I've ever
been before, but as for diaper changes and all that, so far, so good. We
already had one blowout and although mom was there to help me through it, it
wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Gross, but it's different when it's
your child. In my opinion anyway.

I'm primarily a single parent. There is no father here to help me. That
situation is a whole other can of worms I'm too exhausted to get into. So
any and all advice is welcome. I save all posts I find here that I think I
might need down the line, and I have to say, you guys have some brilliant
ideas.
