[blparent] placement of bells for crawling baby

When I worked at Guide Dogs for the Blind before Dawson was born the dog
bells we'd use had a key chain type clip with two little bells attached. We
would just simply hook the bells to one of the O rings of the dog's collar
so as to keep track of them while they were doing free run in the kennel
areas. These bells that were ordered might not have even been originally
meant for dog's collars but they worked great for staff with visually
impairments and could work great for a munchkin as well. Hope this helps.

I'm so glad you asked this question Ronit. I've been threading thin ribbon
through a few medium-sized bells that I pulled off of Christmas
ornaments/decorations. I'm finding I need to put them on Erik on different
parts of his body on different days. He only has one pair of shoes that have
stretchy laces across the top and I thread the ribbon with a bell through
those laces. I don't like the idea of tying bells to his waist because he
still falls forward and backward and I'd hate for him to fall on the bells.
I've tied bells around his ankle and wrist. I like Erin's idea of clipping a
bell to the harness she puts on her munchkin when he's wearing the harness.
The one thing I've noticed is it doesn't matter where I put the bells, Erik
tries to pluck at them because they jingle and he loves things that make
noise.
Perhaps Alex won't care where you put bells, but maybe he will and you'll
have to play around with a good spot. Let me know if you devise any cool
ways of stringing bells to your kid. I'm going to check out the site Brandy
suggested. I thought about dog collars but they might look to doggie.
