Thanks for the info.
As for the breast shield, it doesn't stay in place because you likely 
just try to stick it on. A nurse at the hospital where I gave birth 
showed me a trick with those. You press the nipple part of the shield 
into itself, sort of invert it if you will, then you put it against 
your nipple and push it back out. that will insure that it actually 
stays on your nipple and it will cause your nipple to protrude more so 
that your baby can actually latch on. at first it's kind of painful but 
you get used to it pretty quickly. also it helps if the nipple shield 
is wet when you do this.
