Hello Sonja,

Trampolines are great and like many others have mentioned, there are quality
ones out there that have safety walls around them and covers so there are no
exposed holes for feet to fall through. My sister got one for her backyard
and her kids absolutely love it and it's one of their biggest forms of
exercise. It's really a great form of cardio. One of the things my sister
did when her kids were younger was to stand at the door of the trampoline so
that she could monitor what was going on as well as to prevent her daughters
from falling out the door area on accident. There are some trampolines with
Velcro or zipper closures at the door so that would be a great option.
You'll be looking at probably $500 and up for a good outdoor trampoline but
if you do go the way of a mini trampoline for inside, I got an aerobic
trampoline for only $30 at a sporting goods store and it worked great. Talk
about a great work-out!

Have fun playing.

Erin

Wow, what a great bunch of feedback from all of you about my trampoline
question! Thanks so much for all your opinions!

It really is amazing how split the opinions are on this topic. I think the
trampoline issue is much like horses. When I was a kid, my mother used to
require permission notes from my friend's parents if they wanted to ride
our pasture ponies. They were low to the ground, no frills, but still
potentially dangerous. We never got hurt. And in those days we didn't wear
helmets! Jeez, I sound like I'm 80!

My triplets are 6,and they just love their cousin's trampoline. But I'm
considering all your opinions, and the plan of action if we did have an
injury.
Thanks again guys,
Sonja
