[blparent] Teaching society about blindness

Assumptions stem from being uneducated. I just wish that someone would just
ask me how I do it rather than assuming that I don't. but that is why I go
to the schools, introduce myself and tell the kids what a blind person can
and cannot do. The more lives I touch, the better for society.

V. I AGREE COMPLETELY. The questions don't bother me in the least. What
bothers me is the assumptions that are sometimes made about our capabilities
without trying to find out if the assumptions are true. There are things
that I wouldn't say to others blind or sighted that have been said to me.
