[blparent] Another helpful baby product

Hello everyone,

I must admit I've glanced at this thread and not had the time to read every
message, so I apologize if this product has all ready been mentioned. It's
actually something you don't need to get right away, as the baby can't use
it until he or she is older, but it's the best $20 we've ever spent on our
kids IMO. And what is this product??? It's a portable booster seat that
straps onto a regular chair, and has a detachable tray with a cover so you
can make it into a highchair. Ours actually has very small legs that can
come out of the bottom of the seat, so you can also put it on the floor and
use it as a very low seat in certain situations. Where have we found this
seat helpful??? Let me count the ways! We have taken it along to
restaurants since some do not have highchairs at all, and others have chairs
that are in really bad shape and baby/toddlers can wiggle out of them
quickly. We've also taken this seat to friends' houses, my husband's work
place, and on trips. It has been so nice to have a safe place for our kids
to sit while eating. We haven't had to worry about holding a squirming
child on our laps, the child falling off of a "big person chair", or the
child deciding he or she is done with the meal and bolting from the table.
It's also been great in hotel rooms because we can put it on the floor and
let our child eat without worrying about messes getting everywhere... We
usually try to either put it on a tile floor if possible, or spread out a
towel underneath it so food doesn't get on the carpet. Lastly, our
daughter, who is almost 2, loves to sit at the table with us as opposed to
in her tall highchair. So, she actually uses the booster on a daily basis
now.

We really love the tray with the cover--they do sell
boosters without this feature. We like the cover because we can wipe the
tray the best we can in a restaurant, but then can put the cover on in order
to transport it home without worrying about getting any mess we couldn't
clean all over the place.

Again, I'm sorry if this was all ready mentioned, but this
is just one of those products we have really found useful.

Also, I completely agree about the rocking chair--getting a
good comfortable one. Our daughter has been sick, and lately I feel as if
I've slept more in the chair than in my bed... This is something you will
literally use for years if you have a child who likes to be rocked and
snuggled.

Melissa
