It will work on any surface. We used it in a toy tent once and it worked on
the curved semi see-through top of the tent. The turtle or ladybug would
probably work best for the bunk bed. The darker the room the better they
work as they are lights projecting upward.

I've seen those projection toys advertised.  Does anyone know how I would
find out if they would project onto the bottom side of a top bunk?  What I
mean is, Sarah sleeps on the bottom bunk of a set of bunk beds.  Would the
toy work, or does there have to be a flat ceiling?
