[blparent] after the sit 'n stroll, what's next?

We have had to use a regular car seat. We bought one that converts into a
booster eventually, although there are several stages in between. Austin was
tall enough, but not heavy enough, to go into just a regular booster seat.
And, make sure you know all of your car seat laws in CA, because in MD they
keep changing them to have kids in car seats for longer and longer periods
of time. Yes, the regular car seat is a huge pain because it is not easy to
haul around... But the law is the law. It would be nice if the Sit 'N'
Stroll could have a larger model for kids over forty pounds. Not necessarily
that you would use it as a stroller at that point, but just having something
on wheels that you can pull as opposed to a car seat you have to carry would
be a huge help sometimes. There are backpacks for car seats... Perhaps you
could look into one of those. If you find anything good, please let me know!

Hi,

I just put him in a booster seat since the sit n stroll goes up to 40
pounds. It's small and he says it makes him feel like a big boy cause he
can put his own seatbelt on.

Hi everyone,
I have the sit 'n stroll which I am using mostly asa carseat to transport my
son when we get rides from people other than my husband. I love how easy it
is to strap the seat in with hte seatbelt going over the child instead of
threading it through underneath. I know this seat won't last forever,
though, mostly because my son will outgrow it in height, not weight. What
have you al used for this purpose once your child has outgrown the sit 'n
stroll?
Thanks.
Ronit
