[blparent] Traveling with a Preschooler

The iPad or iPhone is the way to go for entertainment in one small device if you've got either of those devices. Otherwise, download some fun stuff on a Leap Frog learning system or any electronic device like that. If you're flying South West you'll be able to bring the normal 2 suitcases for free but other airlines charge unless you have perks through having their credit card. If you have a Victor Stream you can download talking books and music for your daughter to enjoy. A new coloring book would be fun if she likes to draw and keep her busy for quite a while. They also sell lots of small puzzles and such for car trips that don't take-up much room and keep the kids busy for hours.

Hope this helps and have safe travels.

Erin

Subject: [blparent] Traveling with a Preschooler

I just found out Gerald and I will be flying with the kids to another state over the Thanksgiving weekend. Gerald and his sister will be helping to pack up their parents’ home because their mom and dad will be moving into an assisted living place next month. So my question is, do any of you have ideas on how I can keep Sarah entertained and out from underfoot for five days and five nights away from home? I can’t pack a lot of toys and stuff because of the luggage limitations on the airline flights.

Thanks,
Jo Elizabeth

Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening.--Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
