[blparent] identifying colors

Thank goodness there is a little less pressure on this cute outfit thing for
boys. :) Still it did come up. I had a method that worked for the few of
these outfits we had, and it is what I would do for more outfits if it was
important to me. I purchased several of the mesh laundry bags that are
intended for gentle wash items like lingerie, and I kept the complete
outfits in one bag through the wash cycle. The outfits can either be folded
and placed back in the bag, or into a zip lock bag to go into the drawer.
Wash in cold and throw in a color catcher to prevent any color bleeding. The
bags are pretty inexpensive too. Only a couple of dollars each, and you can
get them wherever you buy your detergent and stuff.

These bags are great for keeping all the little socks together through the
wash too. I also wash any item that needs special attention in one to both
remind me to not throw it in the dryer and to make it easy to identify
amongst the whole wash. Sometimes this is for an item with a stain I might
be concerned about getting out, though mostly it is for garments that have
special drying needs. I am glad this came up because I need a couple of new
bags and I keep forgetting to put them on my shopping list.

Yes you can buy them from many sites, but what I've learned and with the
little I can see one light pink isn't the same as another light pink so
although you may use the tag for light pink it doesn't mean it will work
with the other light pink. Baby clothes are also famous for patterns so you
have a light pink pair of pants and a pink and white top with little brown
monkeys on it, and once those aren't together any more no other light pink
top matches quite right.

Thanks Bran. Aren't there accessible tags for clothes that have Braille for
colors, or labeling tape that won't come off in the wash that you can
Braille colors on? I think I remember hearing something like that, but it
was like twenty years ago, so i could be wrong or have misheard.
