Hi Everyone,
I would like to take a few minutes and give you all the most recent update.

My daughter Ashlee is doing wonderfully. She's almost eighteen months old
now.

However I wish I could say the same thing about the relationship between
her father and I. Everything. between him and I had been right since May
of last year. And, it all ended right before the first of the year. We were
doing fine with the visits and everything. With the two major problems with
him not going to counseling and also he was extremely unwillingly to meet
with CSPW working on our case. He is a at least now working with her
supervisor but still unwillingly to when do that.

We had all our visits including one on Christmas Eve which was a Monday
visit. However, we didn't have a visit that Thursday because of a
snowstorm. Which he always managed to blame me when our visits were
cancelled. This time he's pissed off because we don't have the visit so I
did what I thought I right and left because I anticapted that night before
that the visit would be cancelled. So I left the apartment where we were
living because I knew that he needed his space to calm down. One of me and
one my friends when back because he asked me to come back and do some
cleaning around the house. But, He slapped across the face. Me and friend
felt we all left together had a nice few hours at peer support center
that I still go occasionally. I left this peer support center because I an
appointment at a local domestic violence agency to talk with one of their
advocates. The referral for me to go through this agency has made the CPSW
working on the now an adoption plan for my daughter.

So while I've been dealing with the DCYF case I'm now also going through
the court system again because I place a Domestic Violence charge on my ex.

My DCYF case will be over as of next week because I've decided to Surrender
my parental rights voluntary instead of going the Termination of Parental
Rights I've almost already been dealing with the state for two years. And,
there would be a trail. The termination process would have taken a while.

I know that I doing the right thing by surrendering my rights because I
know she's being well taken care of. And, if she has any other problems
that occur later in life that the foster family is better equipped to deal
with it. I've been lucky that she's stayed with the same foster family for
the last year and half.

Ashlee is doing wonderfully she just had her eighteen month well child
check today. She's very healthy. She's small for her age which is okay.
She's doing great developmental now she's almost in normal rages for her
age. Which is a big deal because she's been about three months or so behind
up until now.

After I surrender my rights I will be able to still be involved in her life
which is awesome because we've decided from the beginning that it would be
an open adoption.
