[blparent] My story and request for help

Pippi,
I think I understand. You've got two problems. You don't have the $$$ to pay
for childcare, and you don't have the functional skills to move to Colorado
on your own to establish residency?
Is this correct?
I'd like to ask how you function now? You have a preschooler, and I haven't
seen you on the evening news. So you are doing ok. What skills don't you
have?

Bridgit,
I have not spoken to Colorado's NFB. I have attempted to speak to Kansas NFB
with no success thus far.
The problem is paying for childcare. I have spent more hours than I can
count researching centers, public preschool, state assistance. I have
narrowed the child care centers down to under 10 possibilities.
Childcare is expensive. It ranges $200 to $400 more a month in Colorado than
it is here in Kansas.
I do not qualify for state assistance through Colorado because I am a Kansas
resident. Kansas does not pay for out of state assistance for child care.
I have to be a resident of Kansas in order for Voc Rehab to pay for the
training center.
I don't have the skills needed to safely up and move to Colorado to
establish residency there before I attend the center.
I hope I have made things a bit clearer. I'm not the greatest at writing
and I have tried to prevent myself from writing a novel.
