[blparent] Breann's class

They could interact with them if they want to, it just so happened that the kids that came to my class hadn't.
This school where I work has about 500 students, some blind, some with other disabilities, but the opportunities are there.
The VI students go to what's called inclusion classes twice a week, in cluding Art and Physical Ed. So as you can see, the opportunity is there. But kids will be kids.

That's too bad tha the kids haven't interacted with the blind children.

One thing that the principal brought up was the fact that there are students that look like they are having problems with their eye sight. I told the classes that if they have eye issues they need to tell the principal. I also said that I would be willing to talk to any of the parents about issues that could determine whether their child is blins or not.

I got to speak to 3 classes a couple of weeks ago. The difference between these kiddos and the kiddos I have talked to in the past, is these go to a school where there aare a dozen blind kids walking around. The thing that was the same, these kids don't know any of them, so they still had tons of interesting questions.

I spoke to Breann’s class as well as three other classes today. It went very well. the children were very responsive. I was glad to be able to do this.
