	Peek-a-boo. Little ones usually love this one.

It is also fun to put small items in and out of a container, and to stack
things together. If you put a small item, food or toy, inside an upside down
bowl or cup on the highchair tray the baby will enjoy playing with them.
This is a good way to keep the baby busy while you clean up, but they also
like it when you pretend to look under the bowl and act surprised or excited
to find it.

Little ones also love to hear you sing or recite little rhyming songs.
Especially if you move their little bodies around in the pattern. Some songs
like patty cake or This Little Pig. Dancing around the room while holding
one in your arms is great too. It is even fun to sing or dance to music you
like, but especially if you sing it to your baby and act dramatic.

You can work in many learning opportunities with all these games too. Use
repetitive phrases during play like in and out, off and on, and up and down
to help teach the words and the concepts. 

I miss little ones that age. I am looking forward to grandchildren.

Hi,
My baby is almost going to be eleven months now and crawls around
everywhere. he is also standing up holding on to things and trying to
take a few baby steps. Do you know of any games I can play with him at
this age? i am only home in the evening and have almost two to three
hours with him before he goes to bed, i want to do the most i can
because i feel i am not spending enough time with my child. what are
some of the fun activities you did and would recommend? Please also
give me some titles of picture books and story books that you used and
I will see if I can get them?
