[blparent] shoes

Hello!

I use a plastic bin near our front door so that it's easy to clean since
shoes bring in lots of dirt and definitely sand here in San Diego. Whatever
you use just make sure it's easy to clean and the right size for the kids
shoes. The bin also helps to keep my son's ankle bells from getting lost as
well. My husband and my shoes take-up too much space so we toss our shoes
in the front coat closet. I where slippers around the house to keep things
clean.

Erin

A shoe basket, I need to get us one of these. We just keep our shoes ina
pile and somehow they manage to separate and get all over the landing.
What type of basket do you use, like a laundry basket?

I also agree no shoes until they are walking is best.
We have a shoe basket right inside our front door so as we walk into the
house we all take our shoes off and place them in the basket. I always know
where the shoes are and they are out of the middle of the floor so I don't
trip on them. This works most of the time but there are always a few times a
week that the shoes don't gety put in the basket so as I'm cleaning up I put
them in the basket. When my kids weren't old enough to take care of their
own shoes I would take them off for them when we got home.

Thank you,

Princess Kaila
