My kids can understand Eloquence and VoiceOver, 12 and 10 years old,
they have been around them all their lives. When my daughter was
about 7 or 8 she was watching me compute once, and said "you know
dad, you don't use the mouse much." They have learned to do so, and
sometimes it is challenging to convey a task to them, only using the keyboard.
