I regularly tell my teenager that he is rodent dependent.

My kids can understand Eloquence and VoiceOver, 12 and 10 years old, they
have been around them all their lives. When my daughter was about 7 or 8
she was watching me compute once, and said "you know dad, you don't use the
mouse much." They have learned to do so, and sometimes it is challenging to
convey a task to them, only using the keyboard.
