Sarah, I live near the University of Southern California. That's 5 minutes
from me. The University of California at Los Angeles, (Westwood Village,)
is 10 minutes' drive from me.. And for Rob, I do use Dial-A-Ride in
Riverside. Again, lots of commuting choices.
One of my favorite times to travel is in the summer and autumn, where the
weather is warm. I frequently travel to Orange County, andvolunteer for
German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County.
For blind parents and children, So-Cal is very accommodating year round.
Sarah, I lived in Dayton-Springfield for a year and do not hate snow.
I've skied here in CA and Colorado. This goes back to my original comment:
make friends with people and pay them to shovel your sidewalk. Times are
hard, Amanda, pay them a suggested $5.00.
So, prioritize your life. Listen to your kids. Do you really feel it's
really worth it, uprooting  your family for a move?  Listen to your kids;
they come first. Again, is it really worth it, your kids missing your
friends and theirs at school? Do you really worth the anguish because you
want to move?
Eric
P.S. Sarah, can you contact me off-list please: 323-875-6396? Thanks.
..
Eric from Los Angeles reminds you to remember to try to be good to each
other. eric at pmpmail.com; also on Facebook.
