[blparent] Looking for talking thermometer help!

Hi,

My husband found an off-the-shelf thermometer at our local grocery
store that talks. You can place it on the forehead or insert into the
ear. It tells you the ambient air temp, your child's temp and it tells
you the time. If you've set talking watches in the past, it is pretty
easy to figure out how to set the different settings (like time). It
was something like $10 and I like it a lot.

One thing I learned by reading an article on taking temperatures is
that forehead readings are about 0.5 to 1.0 degrees cooler than an
under the arm reading and that ear temperatures are about 0.5 to 1/0
degrees higher than an under the arm temperature. So, I take both
forehead and ear and do the average.
