Hi. Congrats to all the folks with upcoming babies!

I like the Beco line of baby carriers because they have buckles and are
fairly straight-forward to learn to put on. And they fit me well as a plus
size mom. They also have decent back support which is important if you want
to wear a baby long-term. I bought my first carrier, a Chico, at Babies R Us
before I knew about the different types of back support. Once my daughter
hit 10 pounds the Chico was pulling on my neck and I had to retire it. I
recommend any carrier that has a waste strap because that distributes baby's
weight better. Also if you can cross the straps that helps too. I like the
Beco Gemini because it does not require you to buy a special insert for
infants and because it allows you to wear baby facing in, facing out, on
your hip, or on your back. There is another Beco I really like called a
Solil, but it requires an infant insert and does not allow for a face-out
carry option. Note that until your baby has head control face-in is the only
safe position for wearing. I also like the Boba line of carriers, but they
recently merged with Beco so I'm not sure if new ones will be made. You
maybe could buy a used Boba though. My 2nd carrier, after the Chico, was a
Boba and it was a great fit when my daughter was tiny. I liked how easy it
was to get my daughter in and out of. I ultimately bought a Beco Gemini for
myself though.  I bought it used and I love it. 

Those are just my own personal experiences. I've heard Urgos are great for
example, but I've not used one. I'd recommend going to a baby-wearing
meeting in person if you can manage because no description I can give is as
good as touching the carriers for yourself and feeling their fit. If you
can't manage a meeting, Google your local group's website or Facebook group
because those can be good resources too.

			We're expecting our third. Somebody get me smart on
current baby carriers. I used an ergo with my first two, and that ergo is
the age of my first child which means it's about to hit double digits. It
also seems to have vanished from the face of the earth. I'd like to know
what all everybody uses and why. I'm looking for something with buckles.
