Thank you. The thing is, I've know idea about the games people have
mentioned, I never heard. Now I have great resources to start searching, and
I just need find and read descriptions and rules of the games the parents
suggested. Seems like Trouble and Connect 4 is the most popular, thank you
again.

You can easily adapt Trouble by putting a piece of tape, a dot of glue, or
anything else tactile on the top of pegs of one color... Or you could mark
each set of pegs differently so you can tell all colors easily apart. You
can also put the same marking on the home of the particular color so you
will know where to start and end. Of course, you can't see the number that
is rolled using the fun popper in the center of the board. If your child
knows numbers though, he or she can help you read each number that is
popped. Or, you can get a braille dice and shake it instead of popping the
popper.

You have gotten wonderful suggestions so far. There are lots of games you
can mark easily with glue, tape, felt, yarn, etc. if you have someone help
you. Also any types of cards for games can easily be brailled or marked in
some other way. Of course this takes a little creativity, and it also takes
someone willing to sit with you for a while in order to get it done. But,
once it is done, the games will last a very long time. We are a very gamey
family, so we have lots of games we have purchased or brailled/marked
ourselves with help.

,

You know this is blind parenting right? Most of us don't have sight so the
best thing we can do is give you links to pictures and ddescriptions?
Having said that, my kids like Janga, perfection, uno moo, kur-plunkk, all
four games you can play without doing anything except labelling a few things
in the case of Uno Moo. The others are all games you can play by touch. We
tried to play trouble but the new trouble sets have holes in both ends of
the pegs so they look the same flipped over as they do not flipped. I can't
remember where I saw it but there's a very good, very tactile version of
snakes and ladders out there for about 27 dollars. Also try Braille
dominos. Hope this will get you started. If you go on independant living
aids you might find a game or two there as well.

Hi,

What board game or table game is good to try with a 4 year old? I looked at
NFB online store catalog and no clue since never played the board games
myself, not familiar with any. We tried chest but he's too young, my son is
likes pretend play and just running and jumping around. So I'm looking for
smart things we can do together quietly. I would appreciate if you give me
a picture what games or activities good for you.

Have a wonderful day.

Tatyana.
