[blparent] Helping children with homework?

Hi,
I have been a stay-at-home mom raising my kids for the past 12 years. I
have been helping my 12 year old and now 8 year old with homework everyday
since they started school. I love it. I am legally blind and I have some
residual vision.
My question is - My kids have come home with Money Math worksheets
(identifying, counting coins, etc.) How do you help your child do these
worksheets? The worksheets are so difficult to see in order to discriminate
the differences in the coins. How do you help your child with these type of
homework sheets? Is there an app? Should I tell the teacher? What have you
done?

This hasn't helped with worksheets but has helped for real life scenarios.
 - I've tried to make it a point to try and pay in cash and coins at the
market to give my children the opportunity to pay by counting out the coins.
Thank you,
Mari Hunziker
