Tara, it's Eric.

1. Talk it out with her.  Say, "---, were you in my, ---?"  (I want you
to fill in the blanks.)

2.  Make sure she confesses to the truth, and she knows there are
consequences for her (lying),).

3.  Make sure she apologizes.  And time her out.  If you have to use the
belt to discipline her, do so please.

I had to learn, at a young age, that lying and back-talking would mean
severe consequences.  Pretty soon, she'll get the message.
