Hi,

The Freestyle Libre is available here in the U.S. However, the app in which would make the CGM, continuous glucose monitoring accessible is not available.

The Dexcom G5 is fully accessible wwith the use of the Dexcom G5 app. The app will give the user full access from start, inserting the sensor, to viewing blood glucose levels. The sensor needs to be calibrated at least 2 times a day. So finger sticks are still necessary. If you have specific questions I can answer them for you. Also to get an idea on how the Dexcom works Go to YouTube & search for diabetic danica.

Good luck on your journey to parenthood.

Have you reached out to the Diabetes Action Network; another division within the NFB? They might be a good place to help get your questions answered. Wishing you all the best. Warm regards.
