Ashleigh, congratulations on the birth of your daughter. My sons are now grown and I have grandchildren, but there may still be plastic bottles with tactile markings. That is what I used. They weren't special. For newborns you wouldn't want more than a 4 ounce bottle and you could probably fill with enough liquid to reach your finger if you were doing a 2 ounce bottle. I did notice, though, that bottles used when my grandson was born almost 5 years ago that the bottles felt much different than the ones I used. I'm sure others have better and more current suggestions, but that worked all those years ago. My younger son also had trouble breast feeding mostly because I could not produce enough, but they have survived into their 30's so I guess all of us made it! Good luck.
Sharon

Subject: [blparent] Liberti is here & question

Hi all,
My little girl, Liberti was born last Saturday. We are adjusting well and couldn’t be happier.

She has trouble with breast-feeding, so we are working with a lactation consultant while I pump and bottlefeed. We are hoping this will be temporary, but it is working for us in the meantime. My question is, does anyone have good suggestions for measuring ounces of milk? I am thinking are you talking scale is a great way to go, but it also sounds like a hassle. Does anyone have any good tips or tricks for measuring specific ounces?

Thanks,
Ashleigh
