Hi, all!

Thanks to Jo Elizabeth for mentioning the Hadley parenting courses. I taught them, but they have been eliminated. I hope something better and shorter will be offered in future, but I have no control over that at this time. I would like to mention, if anyone would be interested, that I host a chat for parents-parents to be-by phone on Wednesdays at 1 PM Central. At this point we can use a Hadley line; the number is not toll free. If anyone is interested, you would be most welcome, but please contact me at
Shrnhow at gmail.com
Or call me at Hadley at 800-323-4238 at extension 6794.
Sharon Howerton
It does not matter if you studied with me or if you are a Hadley student. We do not talk about courses or assignments; we are a place where parents can talk with each other.

But really, the best parenting teacher will be your baby when he or she comes along. Babies are tougher than you might think, and very forgiving, and practice will make you an expert in a big hurry.

My husband and I are both totally blind, and want to be as prepared as possible if we do have children.. Not many of my local friends have babies, and the family members that do often seem quite hesitant for me to take care of their children beyond holding them and playing with them.
