The NFB has a mentoring program as well. It matches up new parents with ones
who have had children longer and know the ropes, so to speak.

Dave, you are correct about the parenting courses at Hadley. I taught them,
and they were discontinued. I hope they can return at some point in a
different fashion than they were. APH has a book for blind parents called
Parenting with a Visual Impairment. I also host a phone chat for parents if
a person would like informal peer support. If anyone would like information
about this, please contact me. Participants have been current or former
students of mine, and we all have children of different ages. The common
thread is that all of us are blind or visually impaired.
