[blParent] Accessible Monitor or Surveillance System

Ben, you are describing your kitchen like
it's a demilitarized zone or restricted air space.. you want to know and log
the exact moment it was entered? What exactly will that do for you? It's
weird and useless. Nobody cares least of all the person doing it and it's
not like you can use the information to get her in trouble because it makes
no difference to her.
When she trashes the joint have her help clean it up even if the bulk of it
is you clean while she sits in your presence, the goal is to make her day a
little more unpleasant based on actions she chose to take. She'll get the
idea.

Please don't tell me you both are working while trying to care for kids, it
sucks for all involved. Kids are bored, mom and dad are stressed, mom and
dad are overtired, it's a miserable way to live.
Find daycare or stagger your schedules so you all don't have to live this
way.

Oh yes, another great idea I had forgotten about.

We kept our Tupperware and non-breakables on lower shelves. We did have
soaps and such under the sink with child locks, but both girls always went
to the Tupperware lids drawer or the Tupperware or pots and pans, they could
get to and play with. They seemed to know where to find those things right
away.

I find it pretty unhelpful to think they will avoid the kitchen all
together, so another best practice is to put things like pots and pans on
the bottom where they can reach, and the treats and snacks up high out of
reach.
Motion detection items are nice, but they don't really help if you are in
the restroom, and need to be there for a few minutes.
Take care,
