Hello miso,
without looking into the first question with a tremendous amount of
depth I am not sure. I have an M - Power, but This is not to say
that some functionality within the newer version of the scientific
counculater isn't a little different. however, there should be a
Manual on your device. If there is, you should be able to access it
by pressing the Space key with the letter O from the main menu, and
then the letter U from that point until you reach the user guide.
As for your second question, I believe there are locations in
california for fixing parts of the braille note. I would first check
with Voc Rehab, as depending on if they baught you the device (more
oftin than not this is the case), they can probably see about getting
it fixed. I would look at taking on the cost, only if there were
no other options to explore.
  I hope this helps,
  Darian
