Hi Disability Advocate Community,

This is Jo Ann Shoup, co-chair of the Kaiser Permanente Colorado People with
Disabilities Association.

The application process for the 2009 Diversity Scholarships sponsored by
Kaiser Permanente Colorado is in full swing! We invite students who are
entering their undergraduate studies, Master level students, and Doctoral
students to apply.

The link to the application and information is:

http://physiciancareers.kp.org/co/scholarship/web_pages/background_informati
on.htm

Here is a brief background on the scholarship program:

Background:

This program was created as a community outreach effort to financially
assist students pursuing an education for any career associated with the
health care or public health fields. The scholarships were established, and
are sponsored, by Kaiser Permanente's Multicultural Associations/Employee
Resource Groups. Our hope is to have an impact on the shortage of diverse
health care & public health professionals, and the future delivery of
culturally competent care & service. All qualified students may apply,
including those students who identify as one or more of the following:
African-American, Asian Pacific, Latino, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,
Transgender, Intersex, Native-American and/or as a Person with a Disability.

Thank you for disseminating this application link to interested students.

Best,
