Good idea and thinking. I like it and think it is worth doing. I will let
you take the lead. Be sure to have good follow through. I'll help when and
where I can. If you want a committee lets put it together now.

Subject: [Capchapohio] Nfb scholarships workshop?

Greetings, I hope this message finds everyone well.
There'll several of you who might remember that we had a scholarship
workshop earlier this year, and I'd like to do that again as we are quickly
approaching the deadline for entry to the scholarship class of 2017. This
year we had only a few individuals participate, but I believe it was time
and energy, and yes money, well spent. I'd like to plan another such
workshop sometime either at the end of February, or very beginning of March
just as it was this year.
I think with some preparation we can facilitate an environment where
students can feel comfortable asking questions, and receive direct help if
they wish completing any component of the application process.
Perhaps this might even be something the newly formed student division and
state board of directors would be interested in. Around the country there
have been a number of other such workshops, and they really seem to excite
the students, promote the Federation, and if we start getting the word out
soon, I think our turn out will be significantly more large then the first
time.
If you have more specific questions as to my idea, please don't hesitate to
ask. I didn't lay out the plan as it is a rather robust one, and will take
at least a team of no less than two to pull it off as successfully as I'd
like to.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, and so thanks and advance.
