Hello Everyone,

I hope that all of you are having a nice Spring so far, even though the
weather hasn't been very spring like. I wanted to remind all of you that
our next meeting is this Saturday April 7 at 10:00 am at the Maynard Ave.
United Methodist Church, 2350 Indianola Ave. I hope that many of you will
attend because this will be a packed meeting.

As we discussed at previous meetings, the media will be present at this
meeting to discuss our concerns with Project Mainstream, and how their lack
of customer service is having such a negative impact on our ability to be
independent blind people. We will want to present ourselves as confident
and concerned citazens who have a legitimate problem. Though we need to
have ours concerns expressed, we don't want this to be just a gripe session.
We all understand that Mainstream is a shared ride service, and that they
require some additional planning that regular COTA does not need. These
will not be concerns that anything can be done about. We want to focus on
the times that Mainstream has been extremely late, unprofessional in dealing
with complaints, and documented other concerns. Everyone should come
dressed to be on camera, even if you don't talk to the reporter yourself. I
want to thank Dustin Granstaff for his hard work in setting this up.

Also, after the meeting, we will be gathering at Mikey's Late Night Slice
downtown. I know this is a favorate of many of you for after meeting
socializing, and am looking forward to trying them out. I hope that all of
you will join us here as well.

I just received the minutes from March, and will be sending them in another
email.

Again, I hope to see all of you on Saturday.

Annette
