Hello,
Well, it appears that fall maybe here. It has been a lot cooler in the mornings and some of the days just haven’t felt as hot. And of course, weekends are filled with football! A definite sign of fall. So, I hope all of you are enjoying All of the fall festivities so far and had a great holiday weekend.
I wanted to send you a reminder of our upcoming meeting this Saturday, September 7, at 10:00 AM. As usual, we will meet at the Clinton Heights Lutheran Church at 15 Clinton Heights Ave. I now have the key to the church and will be there by 9:30 to open the door. This month, we will have our regular meeting, followed by working on our gavel report. So, please come prepared to share all of the accomplishments you have made personally throughout the year as far as blindness, philosophy, advocacy, and related issues are concerned. This could include any volunteer activities that you have participated in. Since we will be working on the report, we will not be going out for lunch after the meeting. Instead, we will be ordering pizza. I believe that since we are a fairly small group that the chapter can buy the pizza for our collaboration meeting. But, we will always take contributions if you would like.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday.
Annette.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back.
