[Cash-and-caring] end of quiz

I agree that we learned some things.  There may be some variants of this that would make money, but we didn't get there yet.  It was fun to create questions, and I think both members and nonmembers enjoyed taking the quiz.  What would we need to do to keep the blogspot name quizonblindness?  Perhaps we could charge people for submitting questions that are used.  Perhaps there are other things that would make it worthwhile.  But so far it has not raised funds.  Our committee definitely contributed financially and otherwise.

  One other idea for next year: 

  A friend from Michigan and I partook this season in a March Madness basketball bracket selection process in conjunction with a fundraiser for a high school golf program. In this fundraiser, anyone who wants to submit a bracket donates $20: $10 for the pot for the top three winners of the basketball bracket and $10 for the golf program. They brought in over $2000 this way, which seems excellent. It’s a great win-win fundraiser where anyone in the country can partake online. 
  I can get the specifics of how they ran it if people think this could be a good option for us.

  Hi Ramona.  That is a bummer, but you never know til you try.  Thank you for the effort you put into it.  

  Yes, we should keep thinking of ideas, but I don't have any great ones to offer right now for online.  I am getting excited about a golf tournament we are trying in our affiliate this summer.  Our goal is $5k this first year, and hope to make it an annual event and keep building it.  We'll see.

  I think we have demonstrated that we can't get enough donations with a quiz to make it useful for that.  I think a lot of people enjoyed it.  We probably should do the drawing.  Do you think we should do anything else?
